Carl O. King, 25, son of Mrs. Agnes King, Blue Mt. Lake, and Carlton King, was killed along with seven others in an explosion in a restaurant in Massena. Besides his parents, he was survived by his wife of a few months, the former Edna Hutchins Hubbard, Indian Lake and Poughkeepsie; one stepdaughter; and a sister, Miss Elizabeth King of Schenectady.
Mrs. Carrie Perry, known to most as Aunt Carrie, died Jan. 9, 1943 at the age of 87. She had made her home with her niece, Mrs. William Stanyon, for the past 15 years. Funeral was in Camden.
Mrs. Anna Robertson, died at Nathan Littauer Hospital, Gloversville, where she was taken Jan. 9, 1943. Mrs. Robertson was survived by two granddaughters, Ann Walker and Irene Hogan. Funeral was held from the in Speculator Jan. 13.
Guy Wood, 53, member of the first graduating class of Indian Lake High School in 1908, died at home in Corinth, Jan. 30, 1943 after a long siege of pneumonia. Mr. Wood is survived by his wife, Mrs. Edna Wood, and one daughter, Mrs. Wallington of New York City.
