The above-described property mortgaged 8 February 1854 and recorded in Hamilton County Mortgage Book 2, on page 337 executed by Washington Rickard of Morehouse to Havilla Winchell of the same place. The payment of $277.70 in default.
Property was sold by public auction at the home of Havilla Winchell 25 July 1866 at 11:00 AM. The property was sold to Joel Lane, the highest bidder, for $80.00. The money was received 10 November 1866 and the deed recorded 7 September 1867.
